What goes in the bibliography?

Cite
The sources you read and used, beside the claims they support.
Do not cite
Sources you did not use, or sources the system named but you did not read.
Disclose separately
Name the AI system in the disclosure. A reference entry, if your style asks for one, records a tool, not an author.
What goes in the bibliography Six citations offered by a system are narrowed to the four that were read, then the two that were used. Only those two are cited. The system itself gets no entry and appears in the disclosure instead. Six citations came back. How many do you cite? A system produced an overview with six citations. CITE THESE TWO You read them and you used them. Cite each at the claim it supports. CITE NEITHER GROUP The two you read but did not use are not sources for anything you wrote. The two you never read are not yours to vouch for. AND THE SYSTEM ITSELF Not as an author. A bibliography answers “whose ideas”. If your style asks for a tool entry, that is a tool. What it did goes in the disclosure: a different statement, in a different place.
